Baked Apple & Hot Cross Bun Pudding
A favourite bake for everyone. Perfect hot and toasted or fresh out the fridge when you're ready to eat it.
Ingredients
- 6 Hot Cross Buns
- 25 g Butter
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 Cooking Apple, sliced
- 2 Eggs, large
- 250 ml Milk
- 1 tbsp Caster Sugar
Method
- Heat the oven to gas 3, 170°C.
- Place the butter and honey into a pan and gently heat together.
- In a bowl, pour the butter mix over the sliced apple and toss.
- Cut the hot cross buns in half and lay the bottom sections in a baking dish.
- Layer on the apple and brush the remaining butter mix onto the tops of the hot cross buns.
- Top the apple with the hot cross bun tops.
- Beat the egg, milk and sugar together and pour over.
- Bake for 30-35 mins until just set.
