Grilled Sweet Chilli Halloumi

Why have Halloumi on it's own when in just 30 minutes you can add chillies, honey, quinoa and rocket to make it into a healthy and satisfying meal.

  • 3 red chillies
  • 1 lime (halved)
  • Hilltop Honey
  • 1 block of Halloumi (sliced)
  • Quinoa
  • Rocket


  1. Slice lime in half and squeeze juice into a bowl
  2. Slice chillies, leave the seeds in
  3. In a small pan add the chillies, honey and 1 tsp of lime juice
  4. Using your smallest hob, bring the pan to a bubble
  5. Turn the heat down low and allow to foam, stirring often
  6. Remove from the heat
  7. Heat a heavy based frying pan
  8. When hot, add the halloumi slices
  9. Allow to cook for 30-60 seconds then turn over
  10. The slices should appear, striped and bronzed
  11. Serve over quinoa, in wraps or simply enjoy as a squeaky snack!
