Title: Production Operative

Reports to: Production Manager

Job purpose: Package honey and honey products

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 7.45am – 4.30pm

Rate of pay: £8.21 per hour

  • Keep all machinery in good working order
  • Adhere to all site food and production policies

  • A good understanding of Quality & Safety

Title: Sales Assistant

Reports to: Sales Director

Job purpose: To support the Sales department with administrative work, data input and analysis as well creating presentations to support sales team.

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 4.30pm

Hilltop Honey is looking for a high energy and enthusiastic person to join our team that is looking to start a career in sales of FMCG. This person should have great attention to detail and be able to think on their feet, take the initiative and have good confidence in their abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collection of raw sales data
  • Maintenance of current spreadsheets and systems
  • Creating new spreadsheets or reports to improve data analysis
  • Generating key PowerPoints to support the sales team in sales meetings
  • Liaising with supply chain utilizing the sales forecasting data to help generate product demand forecasts
  • Report to MD with YoY sales analysis and product by product analysis
  • Maintain pricing spreadsheet and help generate pricing for NPD
  • KPI reporting

Key Skills:

  • Great knowledge of all Microsoft office platforms

No prior sales experience is needed for this role

Job purpose: Ensure accuracy of goods in and goods out, manage stock movement, assist with daily tasks in the warehouse and production areas.

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 7.45am – 4.30pm

Rate of pay: circa £8.00 - £9.00 per hour dependant on previous experience.

  • Ensure all stock is located in correct bins
  • Pick and pack orders, boxes and pallets ready for dispatching
  • Ensure good stock movement and rotation
  • Accurately check all incoming and outgoing stock for shortages and damages
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the warehouse and external yard areas are maintained
  • Assist with all day-to-day tasks

Key Skills:

  • Team player, with excellent communication
  • Computer literate
  • A good understanding of Quality & Safety
  • FLT licence and driving licence is essential
  • Manual handling experience is preferred but not essential

Job purpose: Ensure accuracy of goods in and goods out, manage stock movement, support Warehouse and Production Manager to achieve targets, assist with daily tasks in the warehouse and production areas.

  • Prepare honey in accordance to the production plan
  • Accurately check all incoming and outgoing stock for shortages and damages
  • Maintain paperwork, spreadsheets and production planning in the absence of the Warehouse and Production Manager
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the warehouse and external yard areas are maintained
  • Assist with all day-to-day tasks

You will be the person responsible (supervisor) in any period of absence or holiday of the Warehouse and Production Manager.

  • FLT licence and driving licence is preferred but not essential

Title: Beekeeper

One of our British beekeepers is looking for some help for the 2018 beekeeping season and we thought of the perfect person for the position, YOU!

The beekeeper/beekeeping assistant is for the 2018 beekeeping season. This will run from mid April until mid July (or later by agreement)

The position will assist in the management, care and evaluation of bee colonies as well as work in the Bee shed.

The position is suitable for someone based in the Northamptonshire area, as you will be working primarily in Brackley.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Work with beehives to produce honey and pollinate crops.
    • Collect and extract honey.
    • Transport hives to/ from various locations
    • Inspect hives to ensure health of bees and treat them for disease/ parasites.
    • Build and maintain hives

Key Skills:

    • Being able to receive instruction and complete assigned tasks.
    • Work with confidence around bees, not allergic to bee stings
    • Be able to lift and move honey supers – up to 25kg in weight
    • Be able to adapt according to the always changing schedule of bees.
    • Be able to work long hours when necessary and sometimes with short notice.
    • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Punctual, flexible and attentive to safety, especially when working with large operating equipment or driving vehicles.
    • Have a full driving license.

Work Environment:

Work can be inside or outside, depending upon the English weather, this can mean in temperatures up to 30 degrees C, often raining muggy and wet!

We work until the job gets done — this sometimes requires late nights or early mornings to move, load and unload bees.

We work hard and have fun while working as a team.
