PROCESS MANAGER

Department: Operations

Reports to: Factory Manager

Shift pattern: 07:45 – 16:30, Monday – Friday

Salary: Dependant on Experience

Location: Newtown, Wales

We are looking for a new team member to work within our Factory Department. Ideally, we are looking for an individual who is willing to learn and grow with the company. This role is best suited to a responsible person with good attention to detail. Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the production facility by ensuring that the daily KPI’s are met. Work alongside the rest of the management team to ensure smooth workflow throughout the process.

Job Role Summary:

  • Work alongside the Planner to ensure the plan is up to date and meets the required run rates.
  • Work alongside the production managers to ensure process and system information is communicated.
  • Ensure daily yield sheet is updated and sent out on time.
  • Motivate and encourage team to ensure efficient running.
  • Sign off holiday requests in a timely manner.
  • Deal with investigations and disciplinaries where needed.
  • Ensure the raw material process is being followed- Stock is booked into production and then booked out when finished with including batch numbers and quantities.
  • Works orders are closed off daily to ensure stock visibility.
  • Daily huddle with the team so everyone is briefed and understands the plan.
  • Ensure the team are aware that Food Safety and Health & Safety are of number one importance. Raise any matters immediately to the relevant manager.
  • Ensure the daily GMP meets the target set and any non-conformities are actioned in a timely manner.
  • Look at areas for improvement which will improve efficiencies and lower labour costs.
  • Ensure the Barrel team are following set procedures to make sure the product is within the legal parameters and within the Spec.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure targets are achieved for yield, maintenance, quality, and safety.
  • Actively participate in quality and safety meetings.
  • Train and mentor team members
  • Proactively manage sickness and return to works.
  • Conduct appraisals on at least a yearly basis.
  • Identify training needs and arrange relevant training.
  • Ensure the lines have all the correct raw materials in order to complete the product in line with the spec.
  • You may also be required to help out where the business needs require.

Suitable Candidate Must Have:

  • FMCG food manufacturing background
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Continuous improvement skills
  • Good PC skills
  • Can do attitude.
  • Ability to drive change through your team.
  • Accountability of your team’s performance
  • Training & development
  • Knowledge of CIP’s and system flushes (advantageous)
  • Great communication and teamworking skills
