Since the launch of our very first pot of honey back in 2011, the team at Hilltop have worked hard to blossom both as a brand and as a community. We’re so proud of our delicious range and the means by which it is produced. We have amazing connections with our suppliers and we’re proud to say we can trace every product from hive to home, maintaining the highest of standards to bring you authentic, delicious award winning honey.
The range is still growing- and today we’re delighted to introduce you to the newest kid on the block. We’ve launched a brand new lip balm that we’re feeling so giddy over- and we think you’re going to love it too!
Introducing the Original Beeswax Lip Balm
The brand new Hilltop Honey lip balm is more than a little bit special, if we do say so ourselves. Made using just 6 all natural ingredients, we promise this is a real pocket-sized powerhouse when it comes to nourishing and caring for the lips! This time of year can play havoc with our skin, and especially while we’re all spending a little more time indoors. Central heating has a lot to answer for! Luckily, our lip balm has launched in the nick of time, and it’s here to save your smile.
What’s inside…
Of course, we’ve used beeswax in our lip balm (naturally!) because not only does it contain natural emulsifiers that hydrate and replenish, but it also protects against UV rays. Genius! We’ve also used Helianthus annus (sunflower oil) for its natural high dose of vitamin E to moisturise the skin and keep it locked in for lasting hydration; Simmondsia Chinensis seed oil (jojoba oil) for antibacterial and hydrating properties; Ricinus Communis Seed Oil (Castor Seed Oil) also for hydration but also for anti-inflammatory properties; Persea Gratissima (Avocado Oil) for even more hydration and also for antioxidant protection and Tocopherol for further antioxidant protection.

Who it’s great for
Anyone can use our lip balm! It’s suitable for all, but its absolutely great for those who want to transition over to a greener lifestyle in general. The rise of the natural makeup bag continues in 2021, and we predict it’s going to stay that way. As more of us begin to realise the importance of protecting our planet and making more eco conscious decisions when it comes to plastic consumption, the green beauty industry is going to thrive. Unlike other lip balms on the market, we have only a short ingredients list- with no chemicals you can’t pronounce. We are 100% plastic free. We are affordable too- so you’re not breaking the bank - or the planet- if you choose an eco-friendly option. Quite simply, we want to help make plastic-free beauty the norm- and our lip balm is a great place to start!
Eco credentials
Our lip balm is not only made from all natural ingredients, but its produced with the planet in mind too- free from chemicals and plastic from top to toe. Like all of our products, we’ve used FSC cardboard for the packaging, making it completely biodegradable so that you keep a clear conscience.
So, why is this important? The answer is simple. If we don’t act now, we risk irreparable damage to our planet. Since we’ve all been staying home, household waste has increased, and as a nation we’re responsible for 14million tonnes of waste. That is a lot!
So we didn’t want to create another product that was just going to add to that depressing figure. We wanted to create a product that would remove plastic altogether, and that would encourage more of us to make the swap to greener products overall.
As a business, we have a responsibility to safeguard the future for everyone; the planet, humans and bees. We do this through carefully selected suppliers, sourcing fully traceable honey and sustainable packaging and maintaining zero food waste production at Hilltop HQ.
