Toast topped with feta cheese, prosciutto and hilltop honey, a tasty yet healthy recipe.
2 Slices of Bread
2 Figs
Slices of Prosciutto
Feta Cheese
Handful of Pine Nuts
Hilltop Honey
Rinse the figs, pat dry and slice figs, lengthwise, into halves
Add the butter to a frying pan over a medium heat
Add the honey and gently stir
Set the figs, cut side down, in the mixture and cook
Every now and then shake the pan to avoid the figs getting stuck
With a spoon, scoop the mixture and pour over the figs
Repeat steps 5 and 6 for around 5 minutes until the figs are brown and the mixture is bubbling
Remove from the heat
Lightly toast your bread
Crumble feta and layer slices of prosciutto over the toasted bread and top with, warm, honeyed figs
