Hilltop Honey Buzzing to Donate to the Honeypot Charity

From classic names such as Bumble and Buzz, to fictional wonders such as Bumbledore and Ron Beesley, and even celebrity inspired Cynd-bee Lauper and Bee-yonce – you have certainly enjoyed adopting, naming and learning about the world’s most significant VIPS – very important pollinators – bees.

But in doing so, a group of very important people have also benefited from this to. When we updated the Adopt a Bee back in February last year, we agreed to donate 25% of the profit from the sales of the Adopt a Bee to the very deserving Honeypot Charity.

Since 1996 Honeypot has been working to enhance the lives of young carers and vulnerable children aged 5 – 12 years old. They are the only charity in the UK to provide respite breaks and on-going outreach support throughout a child’s formative years. Honeypot gives young carers a break from demanding and stressful responsibilities at home and provides a safe, nurturing environment where children at risk can develop their full potential.

Clare Davis, Regional Fundraising Manager, the Honeypot Charity commented; “Thank you so much to everyone who has purchased an Adopt a Bee. The donation we have received from Hilltop Honey is absolutely amazing! £100 covers an outing for 12 children during their respite break, £50 covers a day’s respite for a child at our house, £20 can buy a Christmas or birthday present for one honeypot child and £10 covers the costs for arts and crafts materials for 12 children on a respite break.”

Anthony Cummings, Director of Income and Communications, the Honeypot Charity also commented; “All at Honeypot are delighted to receive the generous support from Hilltop Honey. As the demand for our respite breaks for young carers and vulnerable young people has never been greater, while we receive no government funding, Hilltop Honey’s support is deeply appreciated and greatly needed”.

Thanks to each and every one of you who has helped us contribute to donating to the Honeypot Charity.
