Autumnal Porridge Bowl
A mouthwatering breakfast meal that can also be used as a snack throughout the day.
80 g porridge oats
440 ml milk
1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste
2 sliced apples
A handful of blackberries
2 tbsp hilltop honey, extra for drizzling
To make honeyed apples, heat a large non-stick frying pan over high heat.
Cook the apple for 1 minute each side.
Add honey and cook for a further 1–2 minutes or until golden and caramelised.
Place the oats, milk and vanilla bean paste in a saucepan over low heat.
Cook, stirring occasionally, for 8 minutes or until thickened.
Spoon into serving bowls and top with the honeyed apples, extra honey and hedgerow blackberries.
