Baked Apple & Hot Cross Bun Pudding

A favourite bake for everyone. Perfect hot and toasted or fresh out the fridge when you're ready to eat it.
6 Hot Cross Buns
25 g Butter
2 tbsp Honey
1 Cooking Apple, sliced
2 Eggs, large
250 ml Milk
1 tbsp Caster Sugar
Heat the oven to gas 3, 170°C.
Place the butter and honey into a pan and gently heat together.
In a bowl, pour the butter mix over the sliced apple and toss.
Cut the hot cross buns in half and lay the bottom sections in a baking dish.
Layer on the apple and brush the remaining butter mix onto the tops of the hot cross buns.
Top the apple with the hot cross bun tops.
Beat the egg, milk and sugar together and pour over.
Bake for 30-35 mins until just set.
