The perfect old-fashioned addition to bring to the Halloween parties - what more could you love about sweet and juicy apples?
Made with our best-selling tasty Everyday Blossom Honey!
250g Hilltop Blossom Honey
6 twigs (washed)
6 medium red apples
50g unsalted Butter, plus extra for greasing
2 tsp cider vinegar
Push a twig into the base of each one through the core, making sure its secure.
Grease a piece of baking paper. Fill a bowl with cold water and keep this ready to test the toffee.
Next you will need to put the butter, vinegar, honey and 150ml cold water into a pan and heat, stirring, until everything has dissolved.
Boil for 10 minutes or until the mixture hardens, testing frequently towards the end. It's ready when a small piece dropped in the water turns hard straight away. If it looks a bit frothy, not to worry as this is completely normal.
Carefully remove from the heat and generously dip the apples in the toffee to coat. Take care it will be hot. Stand on the paper and leave to set and cool before eating.
Decorate to how you please and enjoy!
