You have to try these maple madeleines this autumn! It’s officially cold and this weather calls for something warm and cosy - a twist to the French classic that’s perfect for the autumn season. The maple keeps the madeleines moist and soft and gives it caramel and nutty flavours that’s perfect with your morning cuppa!

Ingredients
- 75g melted butter
- 20g vegetable oil
- 50ml warm milk

50g Hilltop Very Dark Maple Syrup
- 5g baking powder
- 120g plain flour
- 60g caster sugar
- 1 + 1/2 egg
Directions
- Preheat oven to 190C. Grease madeleine pan with melted butter and leave in fridge
Combine eggs and sugar
Pour in warm milk and mix until the sugar has dissolved
Add flour and baking powder, mix until just incorporated
Stir in butter, vegetable oil and maple syrup
Grease the madeleine pan and dust flour over the pan
Fill each madeleine mould 80% full, let the batter rest for 60 minutes in the fridge
Bake for 12 minutes.
