Spread it. Drizzle it. Stir it. Enjoy it.

Our favourite little insects, bees, forage the Manuka bush, native to New Zealand, to bring you this dark, herbal, amber Manuka Honey.

Our creamed Hilltop Manuka Honey is pure and natural, authentic, Manuka Honey. Carefully sourced from the best New Zealand beekeepers and tested, twice, to certify its authenticity.

Hilltop Manuka Honey is measured using the MGO rating. MGO stands for methylglyoxal; this is the naturally occurring compound that gives Manuka Honey it’s special properties. Simply put, the higher the MGO rating on the front of the jar, the greater the anti-bacterial strength present within the honey.

discover the wonder of manuka

Nourish your body from within with powerful, natural healing. Research¹ shows that its the MGO (methylglyoxal- a naturally occurring compound) which gives Manuka its super powers- ‘potent anti-microbial properties’² that can help to ‘hinder the growth of microbes’³.

Put simply: as ancient literature has always told us, Manuka can be a pretty powerful tool for health and wellbeing. Researchers are yet to meet a bacteria that can stand up to its super powers⁴!

Guidance published by Public Health England and the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) (ref 5). The committee recommends that honey should be the first line of treatment for coughs. Bee-rilliant!

MANUKA STRENGTH GUIDE

Not sure where to start? Its all on the label. The higher the MGO content, the higher the strength, so look for the numbers on our jars to help find your perfect Manuka fix!

We recommend:

50+ MGO for a daily boost. Indulge in a daily spoonful and enjoy a golden glow all year round.

100+ MGO for a more robust elevation. Perfect for those times when you need a little extra boost, some more spring in your step.

500+ MGO for a nourishing pot of sweet joy! The ideal antidote to stresses and strains, the high MGO content will leave you buzzing and ready for anything.

MULTIFLORAL OR MONOFLORAL?

Our multifloral Manuka is derived from very busy bees, who checked out other floral sources near to the Manuka bush, while our monofloral Manuka contains only the nectar foraged from the Manuka bush.

Both are harvested by experts and, of course, tested twice for authenticity, and certified too.

RUNNY OR CREAMED?

Manuka honey is naturally creamy, with a unique and luxurious texture and taste. Although it will soften and turn liquid when heated, it’s different to other creamed or runny honeys.

Creamed honey has been turned slowly to speed up the crystallisation process, bringing you a smoother, more creamy texture. Runny honey has a higher fructose content, so remains liquid for longer. Both will change in texture when exposed to hot or cold, and both can be retuned to their former state easily too.
