Christmas at Hilltop
Christmas has to be our very favourite time of year- but we’re probably not alone there! And what’s not to love about the festive season? Great food, quality time with family, much-loved traditions… it’s a truly magical time of year!

Let’s start with food. Festive food! We’ve been sharing so many amazing recipes over on TikTok that you guys have been absolutely loving- make sure you stay tuned over Christmas to catch them all! In the meantime, here are just a few of our favourite seasonal dishes right now…
All the best Christmas parties start with canapés, and we just know you’ll love our Brie-illiant offerings! These are so easy to make, and the sweetness of our cut comb partners so beautifully with red onion chutney. Not to mention the fact that honey always pairs so well with cheese. The perfect match! Serve alongside our mouth-watering Honey and Mustard Sausage Rolls or a platter of Sticky Party Sausages and you’re on to a winner. Oh, and make sure your guests have a glass of Orange Blossom Prosecco Fizz too!
Now the canapés have been enjoyed, let’s move on to the main course: the buffet. After all, no party is complete without a table laden with festive treats! Start with our Honey & Mustard Roasted Ham and Honey Roasted Carrots and Parsnips. And don’t forget your essential cheeseboard- make sure you add some cut comb honey to make your board sparkle!
And now for dessert. Have you tried our Chocolate Orange Brownies? Or our Nutty Chia Figgy Pudding? Or how about our Hanging Hive Cup Cookies? Perfect to pop on the side of a warm mug of our classic Mulled Wine or our warming Hot Toddy with Manuka Honey.

That’s the food sorted, now let’s talk gifting. More specifically, let’s talk responsible gifting. Because each year in the UK, we produce a staggering 30% more rubbish than at any other time. Festive treats
’Tis the season for festive treats, and because we love Christmas so much, we’ve been celebrating in full force across socials. Did you enter any of our 12 Days of Christmas giveaways? This is an annual tradition here at Hilltop, so if you weren’t lucky this time make sure you tune in next year for another chance!
It's also the season for a bit of a fond look back at the year (almost) behind us. And wow, what a year 2023 has been! Buckle up folks, here’s a super quick rundown of all that we’ve achieved this year…
January saw the launch of our Manuka Honey into Tesco- we’ve been in store at Tesco since 2015, but this year we extended our range across 900+ stores!
With February came Pancake Day, a super sweet celebration here at Hilltop. Huge shoutout to Nat, Ellie and Seren for their amazing starring roles in our video!
In March we proudly opened our Community Fund- our chance to give something back. We wouldn’t’t be where we are today without you guys, and we can’t wait to open the next one in 2024!
May saw us one again giving our support to Get Lippy, an important campaign committed to raising awareness of women’s gynaecological health, and in July we said a fond farewell to our beloved Orange Blossom Honey- let us know if you managed to grab a jar!
In August we donned our tuxedos to celebrate FOUR wins in the Great Taste awards! Our 2023 winners? Manuka MGO 200+, Manuka MGO 250+, Manuka MGO 800+ and our Cut Comb Slab Honey. Bee-rilliant!
And the party fever continued on- in September we attended the Newtown Food Festival to judge and present the Hilltop Best Producer Stand for 2023, and in October we won both the Growth Award AND the Entrepreneurship Award at the Powys Business Awards!
